“I found Daniel online and he was brilliant. He is reliable, well informed, very friendly and likeable… He encourages you to explore your ideas, offers constructive criticism to help you improve your arguments and is very knowledgeable about all things philosophy related.”
Brandon, The American University of Paris
“He has changed my opinion on the subject… He has taught me how to interpret the readings, how to do critical reviews, he has taught me how to analyse the information in different ways. I would really recommend him as a tutor, he is probably the best tutor I’ve ever had.”
I found lessons very useful in grasping a solid understanding of the content as we explored the material thoroughly and in depth. We talked through the content and I was able to ask questions freely both during and outside of tutorials. This was crucial as I felt comfortable with the content, which is a necessary foundation to form sound arguments and evaluation.
Dan’s inquisitive and engaging style of teaching challenged me every lesson, which was key in my success as I was encouraged to develop my own thoughts, arguments and criticisms. I was encouraged to express my opinions which we then built on and developed to form strong and structured arguments. With practice, I was able to learn to think more philosophically and critically.
Through our tutorial lessons, I was able to learn to write essays specifically targeted at A level standard philosophy and ethics questions. This was an important exam technique as I was able to pick up marks where I could without wasting valuable time in the exam.
Dan is a great tutor for academic progress and support. I was able to contact him via email whenever I had a question or had an essay to be marked. The homework set was geared to consolidate my knowledge and challenge my thinking, and the feedback I got on homework and practice exam questions always pushed me further.
Whether it is the content, evaluation or exam technique you need more work on, Dan will help you to nail it."
“Daniel has been brilliant in helping me to attain a better understanding of philosophy and Sartre whilst also encouraging me to think for myself. Provided the perfect amount of guidance and given me skills which I can use in the future at university.”
